LAAB designed the Asia studio for one of the world’s largest gaming tech companies. The office was designed into multi-regional zones with varying materials, forms, and details to celebrate diversity, an element that is pivotal to both the team composition and the most popular game that the company is known for. The space is divided into 8 thematic regions, each with its own specific theme and mood.
Gaming Arena is a gathering space where gamers compete. Concrete walls, grey furniture with red accents were put together to orchestrate a brutalist, tough, and fearless mood. Contrastingly, Meeting Chambers offers an ethereal and organic atmosphere for staff to mingle and collaborate.
The Open Desk area offers a heavenly and majestic tone communicated through the white and stripy geometry. Focus Caves are for introverts who enjoy working in solitude. Rustic, beige, metallic, and earth-tone materials set their mind at ease.
Adorn with art-deco furniture with brass and earth tone materials, the Common Kitchen is an alchemistic space where social encounters take place. Colleagues can bring their gadgets over to the Tech Lab, an industrial and nouveau laboratory that can resolve all tech matters. When nature calls, the mysterious and spiritual Bathrooms adorned with frosted, cobalt, and teal materials are the places to go.
All the spaces are surrounded by the Hall of Games, which showcases the company’s creativity through the display of sketches, illustrations, and sculptures of the artworks by the studio and gamers.
